DSR Board "Budget Workshop" Meeting Notes

DSR HQ - Garden Cabin

Attending were board members Jodi Akers, Joe Bosze, and Robert Allen. Also
present were Linda Alderman, Paul and Nancy Brayton, Candy Bosze, Brent Fullmer,
and Vance Green by Skype.

We discussed the budget line by line to see if we would be able to balance income
and expenditures. We did reduce the difference but we did not reach the magic
number needed. See the budget worksheet here for more information.

One big item we faced was replace a fence rather later just repairing the fence.
The next big budget item was the ranch pickup they now need. It was not able to
be put in this budget with being over. We also discussed summer ranch help to
cut some off the budget. We were able to cut animal feed from budget with no
animals on ranch at this time. We also discussed buying meters for water and
propane for the cabins to charge for use of these two items. It would not take long
to pay for these installed. We discussed the roads and they need more money in
their budget with also needing culverts installed or replaced, same with the cattle
guards. We also discussed the ranch Kubota, grader needs. Such as replacing the two
dead grader batteries that will not charge up and other equipment needs. We also
discussed having more items sold in our store and buy them at Costco if available there.

The budget process will continue at the November 9 Board meeting. In the meantime,
