DSR BOARD MEETING MINUTES
September 12, 2013
After Annual Meeting in the Ranch Store
Outgoing President - Dave Turley called the meeting to order.
Existing Board Members Dale Clarkson, Shawna Cox and Dave Turley were in attendance . Jodi Akers (re-elected), Linda Alderman ( Ranch Secretary), and new board members, Joe Bosze and Robert Allen.
First order of business: To elect new officers for the board.
Art Ortolani - President
Dale Clarkson - V. President
Shawna Cox - Secretary
Jodi Akers - Treasurer
Areas of responsibility were divided up.
Joe Bosze - Roads & Fire Protection
Robert Allen - Web Development, Ranch Communications and Reservations
Dave Turley - Facilities, Cabin Maintenance and Legal Department
Dale Clarkson - Water Resources and Management Expert
Art Ortolani - Security and Public Safety
Shawna Cox - Agriculture, Wildlife and Ranch Activities
Agreed by all that Monthly meeting times would begin at 9:00 a.m. on the 2nd Saturday of each month and the Ranch whenever possible.
Next meeting would be held at 9 a.m. at the Ranch on Oct. 12th.
Nov. 9th early in town. (Place to be decided upon, possible Zions Bank)
December 14th will be the December Meeting.
As President Art stated that there would be no more Airing Feelings Publically only facts!
Art would like to make a 10 year running plan for the ranch that could be passed along for the next boards to move forward with.
It is important to get our assignments done ahead of time so we can make the decisions and votes to save time at our meetings.
Jodi would like to know if there are anymore invoices for the year.
We will make a list of ACTION ITEMS for each person and the top ten at each meeting.
Dave - employee evaluations are pointless as we are not around to see everything that is happening.
Dale - We need to discuss retaining Paul and Nancy and their efforts.
All things will be brought to the next board meeting.
